Commemorating One Of The Most Famous Nationalists Of India

Digital presence at national and international level to commemorate one of the most famous nationalist of India on his 150th birth anniversary. We were working with one of the most prestigious boards in India responsible for the preservation and promotion of the art and culture of India. We were asked to create a web portal and maintain social media presence for the event. The purpose of the portal was to bring together all the Government bodies, organizations, missions, individuals, etc. on one platform where they could pay their tribute in the form of Karyanjali. The portal also allowed the Government bodies to update their activity calendars for the 150th birth year celebration. The concept of user-generated content was introduced in this digital platform, making it easier to update, view, and spread the content related to the life and times of the personality.

The portal had all the literary works by and on the nationalist. The portal was also envisioned as a single, composite and authentic source of all knowledge on the nationalist . Various Heritage sites with their virtual tours and architectural documents were also made available on the website.

On this occasion, various programs were held all over the country. The events included cleanliness and plantation drive across various parts of the country, Cycle Rally for Peace, Quizzes, Book and Poster Exhibitions. We covered all these events on the event’s social media channels and on the website.

One of the major challenges was to tap all the events happening around the nationalist during his 150th birth anniversary. Another challenge was to gather User Generated Content hassle-free.

Our Solution consisted of a simple user-friendly design to align with the overall objective of the portal. Simplified and secured OTP-based process to upload User Generated Content content. We also ensured advanced personalization of information on the portal for the users coming from different geography.
